I rage-built our email automation. Now we're open sourcing the engine.
Why we are sharing a real email system built with Charlie, and how repo-defined daemons helped keep the work bounded, reviewable, and testable.
Charlie enforces the daily and weekly Credits limits included with every plan.
Teams are already using Charlie to keep docs current, investigate bugs with repository context, repair CI failures, and keep recurring work moving through Daemons. We’re glad to see that work become part of everyday engineering operations.
For many existing customers, that work has run without usage charges or enforced plan limits. Charlie will now be enforcing the limits included with each pricing plan.
Charlie Credits are the shared workspace usage unit for agents, Daemons, and event-driven workflows. They are separate from credits or limits in your model-provider subscription.
Every plan includes daily and weekly Credits that reset on separate UTC schedules. Usage counts against both limits, and unused included Credits do not roll over. Compare plan features on the Charlie pricing page.
When your workspace reaches either included limit, Starter and Team workspaces can draw from prepaid Credits at $0.02 per Credit. If no eligible prepaid balance is available, Charlie pauses accepting new top-level requests until the limit resets or prepaid Credits are added. Work Charlie has already accepted can finish.

Pricing enforcement does not change our product focus: helping teams move quickly while improving the work Charlie can take on. Our GPT-5.6 update improved how Charlie investigates work, makes decisions, and delegates independent steps in parallel.
